Do not simply double-click the installer. Follow these strict guidelines:
Locate the file named libPortabilityNOSH.dll in the same directory.
The drivers included on the ISE DVD are too old. Do not use them.
If you prefer to avoid virtual machines or need to target pre-Spartan-6 architecture, you can install the standard Windows 7/8 version and patch it manually. Step 1: Download and Basic Installation
Open the (found in the start menu or via ISE under Help > Obtain License Key ). Select Get Free Vivado/ISE WebPACK License .
Download the standard (not the Windows 10 version).
If you need to program hardware via JTAG, you have three choices:
If the Impact tool cannot detect your USB JTAG programmer, the drivers likely failed signature verification on Windows 10.
The installer will detect your VirtualBox installation and guide you through setting up the virtual disk.
If you prefer to avoid virtual machines due to performance overhead or limited RAM, you can install the original native Windows 7 version of ISE 14.7 and apply manual registry/file patches. Step 1: Install the Native Software
