In Bengaluru, the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath hosted a weeklong exhibition featuring 21 contemporary artists exploring the nine primal emotions through visual art. This follows a rich lineage of visual exploration, as seen in the work of the famous conceptual artist Pushpamala N, whose "Navarasa Suite" is a series of self-portraits based on the nine moods.
